Shaping a flower vase (glah pakao) in Krăngọ village (part 1/2)

Ma Ly is shaping a flower vase by drawing of a lump. She has created a compact cylinder of clay that her opens by pressing the edges of the lump of clay between her thumbs and fingers to compact the clay and enlarge the opening. She makes sure that the base in flat. Then uses her left hand as a support on the inside and scraps the outside of the walls with the external face of her bent right index finger, drawing the clay up, creating a flat wall with a roll of clay on top. She repeats this operation and regularly smooths the inside and outside of the rough out with her wetted hands. She draws the clay up until the walls have a regular wide from bottom to top. When there is no more clay to draw up, Ma Ly adds a coil and repeat the same moves. Note: during the process, she was also showing BBN how to make pottery.
