Shaping miniature lids (nắp) in Phù Mỹ village

Bùi Thị Lệ is sitting in front of her wheel. She sarts by patting the lump of clay on the wheel to make it to the right diameter uses a wet cloth in her right hand to shape the miniature lids. To detach it from the lump, she slides her hand under it, taking the small piece of clay linking the lid to the lump of clay between her index and middle finger. She narrows it until the lid is removed from the lump of clay. She leaves a small piece of clay in the middle of the lid, that will be later shaped into a knob.
