Taking pots out of the fire and post-firing process in Buôn Trấp village

The firing is supposed to last for30 minuts. But after 15minuts, the pots started to explode (because of the poor quality of the clay). Thus, H’Loan Bkrong starts taking out the pots, with the help of Y Rem Êban. Then, H’Lân Êban sprinkles rice husk on them. Then, she uses a branch of banana tree (mtai) to splash some bark-infused water on the pots. She makes sure that every part of the pot is splashed with water. The bark infused water consists of the bark from two different trees (called knum (Rade) or krum (Bih) (probably Barringtonia acutangula) and a tree called ana san (Bih) (maybe Saraca asoca)) that are boiled in water for 20minuts. The water then turns a reddish colour. It is said to make the pots black and hard wearing.
