View of the extraction site area in Quế An village

This is the area where the clay is extracted. It is situated 1km away from the potter’s house. They have always gathered clay there. In the past, they would go there by foot and use a bamboo carrying pole (called "gánh") to take the clay back on their shoulders. Then, during 15 years, the potter have rent a trailer and went there by motorbike. Four years ago, they upgraded to renting a truck every four years to back a big amount at once. This is why we could not attend the extraction of the clay during our stay.
